Kort Falkenberg III – Director/Editor
Although born in New York City, Kort moved to Los Angeles at a very young age and considers himself a Los Angeles native. He often calls those first four years in New York the hardest years of his life! Fast-forward to his first gig writing, directing and editing commercials and music videos at Chrysalis Records, and he never looked back. He has gone on to edit over 300 commercials, promos, television spots, and award ceremonies for many clients including Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (Oscars), Television Academy (Emmys), Artisan, Atlantic, EMI, Enigma, Fine Line, Fox Searchlight, Gramercy, Hollywood, RCA/BMG, Savoy, SRO, 20th Century Fox, Amazon Prime, BBC America, Castle Rock, CBS, Columbia, Discovery, Dreamworks, FX, Harpo, HBO, MGM, Morgan Creek, Netflix, New Line, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Relativity, Sony, StudioCanal, Universal, Warner Brothers, and Walt Disney.
Additional commercial collaborations include Acura, Apple, Carl’s Jr., General Motors, General Tires, Mattel Toys, Maxon/Cinema 4D, Mitsubishi Electric, Porsche, Rockwell International, Shubert Theater, Spaulding, Vons, Walt Disney Educational Media, Yamaha, Yamaha Marine, and Yamaha Motorcycles.
Recent collaborations in animation, voiceover and episodic television for Amazon, FX and Netflix have inspired Kort to form a new creative partnership with Joriah Kavanagh. With editing as their cornerstone, this new partnership also includes developing independent projects such as The Bunkbed Trilogy audiobook series for kids and a slightly irreverent puppet travelogue series for kids and adults alike.
Joriah Kavanagh – Producer/Editor

Clients include Atlantic Records, Broadway Musical Theatre Express, Def Jam, EMI, Epic, ESPN, Field Trippin’ Fest, I.R.S. Records, Island, MTV, New Line Cinema, New York City Opera, Rhino Home Video, Silver Screen Pictures, Universal, and Vermeer Pictures.

The projects closest to his heart have been those produced with Donna Vermeer at Vermeer Pictures. In partnership with MacArthur Foundation, Smithsonian, World Bank, and World Resources Institute, this series of environmental projects, Investing in Nature’s Capital and Sustaining Profits and Forests, addresses ecology and environment by focusing on how business and society thrives through investment in nature. Sustainable solutions continue to inform his ongoing work with nonprofit groups today.
